Movie Fan Zone

So, JerrySeinfeld has made himself available once again to audiences. Not exactly him, though. In his first animated flick entitled Bee Movie, he dabbles in with the animated world as a, you guessed it, bee who goes into the world of humans and in the process, a series of events that are trademark Seinfeld humor. It could not come to a better time since this season needs a lift in the box office.

While it did not set any records at all and it did not even get to the top spot, it still managed to make a worthy performance this past weekend. The animated adventure was able to score well with its audience as it buzzed its way to second place with a $36.1 million take. That was good enough for second place. Moreover, it got Hollywood back on its feet once more after a series of missteps in the financial side.

Seinfeld produced and co-wrote the film, and voices the lead character, a curious bee who befriends a florist and then sues the human race for stealing the bees’ honey. While critics were sharply divided over the film, viewers may have been charmed.
