Not even John Connors could’ve anticipated this one. Then again, what did he anticipate?
Turns out The Terminator franchise is going to be back(no pun intended). After the news
reports have confirmed that a new producing group has brought the rights of the film franchise from the film’s last producers, word has been swirling around that not only is a new film going to be in production soon. Rather, there would be a new set of trilogy.
Let’s get this one straightened out: the first film was released in 1984. Terminator 2: Judgment Day followed in 1992 and Terminator 3: Rise Of The Machines was released in 2003. See any pattern? Every film had a long break before its sequel. That’s what made this franchise that appealing, in my opinion.
Now, these producers are going to make sure they rake it in. Seems like they have no intention whatsoever of making a worthy installment. No word on Arnold Schwarzenegger’s involvement. Do not even count on creator James Cameron to be on board. Hell, we’ll be lucky if Jonathan Mostow took a part on this one.
This one, for some reason, does not really appeal to me that much…
