If Dr. Seuss’ Horton Hears A Who had a relatively easy time last weekend, their second time around could be a bit trickier. After all, it is safe to assume that the animated film will decline in ticket sales after that huge opening gross. Also, one film may be poised to meet them head-on.

Tyler Perry is often underestimated by box office analysts, only to make them mince their words at the end of the day. His latest film is once again being overlooked by many. Meet The Browns could very well end up playing the spoiler’s role in Jim Carrey and Steve Carrell’s bid for back-to-back titles. After all, Perry has worked box office magic before, so there really is no reason to doubt him, right?

Well, this one could be the one time Perry would not be number one. Howver, expect his film to have a great opening weekend gross, maybe around $23 million. That might be good enough for second place as the animated film seems to be far from slowing down.
