They are two of the best actors today who dished out two of the most unforgettable performances of 2007. No, make that in history. They made villainous turns and took the Oscars for their work. So, who was better at being bad?
Daniel Day-Lewis is far and away the more accomplished actor. It washis second Academy Award and has far more accomplishments, no to mention nominations. His turn as Daniel Plainview in There Will Be Blood would make shrewd businessmen shake their heads and aspiring Wall Street employees be motivated. His accent was as cunning as his intellect.
Javier Bardem, on the other had, gave a chilling performance as the psychopath in No
Country For Old Men. He had no care for the world. He is one of teh few people I wish I will never encounter in my whole life. Hell, I would not wish for my worst enemy to meet this creep. Anton Chigurh has a weird surname and an even stranger look at the world.
if these two would meet, Plainview would entertain the onlookers with his charisma but not Chigurh. Hence, Daniel Day-Lewis had the better performance (barely) but in the celluloid, Chigurh would drink his milkshake.
