Various news sources have confirmed about the latest trouble to befall the upcoming Tom Cruise flick, Valkyrie. Police said that eleven extras were hurt during the filming of the film in its Germany set. This comes in the heels of many objections to Cruise’s attachment to the film depicting the assassination plot on Adolf Hitler.
The 11 extras were hurt after falling of a truck. Among them was a man who was seriously injured after the side of the vehicle burst open as it drove around a corner. The vehicle was made to look like a Wehrmacht military vehicle. Now, it is said to be under scrutiny by police in Berlin.
Regarding the objections to Tom Cruise, it reportedly was due to the actor’s beliefs in Scientology. Director Bryan Singer (Superman Returns, The Usual Suspects) is set to helm the film. Co-starring with Cruise is Kenneth Branagh. The film’s production is currently postponed due to the accident.
